Come and play – child’s play “for the child inside the adult”
The central aim of this play workshop is quite simply to help the group to let off steam and have fun. It is not often in our adult lives that we can “let go” and play unreservedly. We use the power of play and laughter to let you step out of your “thinking head” for a while and switch off from daily stresses.
What happens during the workshop?
The workshop will usually last an hour and a half (1h ½) although this can be tailored according to the needs of the group. You will be facilitated through a series of drama-based games and exercises designed to let your imagination run free and to put participants at ease in order to have huge amounts of fun and laughter.
You will play as part of a whole group, sometimes in pairs and also have some moments alone within the group session to reflect upon and absorb your good experience in order to carry it with you in to the rest of your day (and week, and months!)
Outcomes
The outcome of these sessions is that participants report to feeling refreshed and re energised. This feeling can be harnessed and channelled into new projects or into building and maintaining wellbeing and healthy ongoing relationships in our everyday lives.
Transferable skills
The beauty of these games and exercises is that you can’t get it wrong. We try out ideas and let go and move on from those that don’t serve us.
Your facilitator will generate, with your help, an atmosphere of acceptance and positive regard, which helps to make the experience productive and great fun. Come and play!
